In the book, the coats of arms of 375 Ukrainian noble families are presented for the first time, which they used in Polish-Lithuanian times, during the years of struggle for Ukrainian independence, and which they received after Ukraine joined the Moscow state. The historical roots of Ukrainian patrimonial heraldry, which in some cases laid the foundations of not only the Ukrainian but also the Polish-Lithuanian heraldic systems, are shown on the basis of modern and ancient sources.

The book is intended for a wide audience of heraldry lovers and researchers of Ukraine.
