Company history

• 1995 - ADEF-Ukraine Publishing House was founded as a foreign-invested LLC.
• The scope of ADEF-Ukraine's activities included the production of various printing products: from design development to the production of a wide range of advertising materials, labels, booklets, brochures, calendars, preparation and production of magazines, books, including educational, translated and gift editions.
• 1994-1996, ADEF-Ukraine was a publishing house and advertising agency.
• 1996 - the company acquires its own small A3 printing base for the production of books, small editions of magazines and advertising materials.
• 1998 - the company launches its own reprographics center.
• 2000 - a new production site in Borshchahivka (Kyiv) with an area of 350 square meters was put into operation and a two-color GTO-52 (Heidelberg) printing machine and post-press equipment were installed.
• 2001 - the company expanded its own printing facilities by putting into operation a C.P. Bourg-3001 seamless gluing machine, a C.P. Bourg-Modulen sheet-fed station (10 sections) and a Polar-78 cutter.
• 2002 - the company launched a four-color SM-52-4 printing machine (Heidelberg), a Ti-52 folding machine (Stall) and a BNS-6 thread sewing machine.
• 2003 - the Company received the international quality certificate ISO 9001:2000 (№75.100.9400). The quality management system in accordance with this standard is successfully operating at the enterprise today.
• 2003 - Installation of a full cycle of semi-automatic equipment by Schmedt for the production of hardcover books.
• 2007 - In order to create technical conditions for the implementation of the main ADEF project - the publication of the Peresopnytsia Gospel - a transition to a qualitatively new level was made - a new production complex was put into operation in Bucha, Kyiv region, which was equipped with state-of-the-art machinery: 5-color CD-74-5-L printing press (Heidelberg) of the enlarged B2 format with the ability to apply Panton special inks and water-based varnish as an environmentally friendly alternative to UV varnish, PM-74-2 2-color printing press (Heidelberg) with a sheet reversal option for printing books, Suprasetter-74 CTP complex, Taison & Bonitz 16-section sheet-feeding station with stapling, folding and three-sided trimming in-line, Polar 92 XT cutting complex (Heidelberg).
• 2008 - a Heidelberg Stalhfolder KH 66.6 KL PRO Line combined folding machine was installed to reduce production time. A semi-automatic FRECCIA 20 thread sewing machine was purchased to bind large format blocks with thread.
• 2008 - Became a decisive year for ADEF-Ukraine in all areas of activity. In July 2008, during the celebration of the 1020th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus, a facsimile edition of the Peresopnytsia Gospel, published and produced by the company at the request of the UOC, was presented. The publication was the result of many years of work by designers, reprographers, printers, and bookbinders-a large team of people for whom this work has become their main occupation.
• 2011 - on the occasion of the 450th anniversary of the Peresopnytsia Gospel, ADEF-Ukraine published the key book "Peresopnytsia Gospel. Origins and Present". The book is organized in such a way that the reader can get acquainted with the original sample of the Old Ukrainian language of literary sources, which is the Peresopnytsia Gospel. In addition, thanks to two columns - one with the transliterated text and the other with its adaptation to the modern Ukrainian language - it became possible to read the Gospel and compare how Ukrainians spoke in the sixteenth century and how this language differs from modern Ukrainian. The book became a bright event for the scientific and publishing world.
• 2015 - The anniversary year in the life of ADEF. We presented a new format of the company - the ADEF group of companies:
• ADEF-Ukraine - a publishing house specializing in book projects;
• ADEF Printing House - an offset printing company;
• ADEF-Cyfra - a digital printing company;
• ADEF-book - a company engaged in book distribution and book trade, participation in exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad.
• 2017 - ADEF added to the list of companies that became victims of raider schemes to seize and sell off manufacturing companies in Ukraine. This prompted us to look not only for a new platform for work, but also to introduce new technologies into our work. In book publishing, it is digital printing and custom book production. In this field, ADEF is a recognized authority, because the best books in Ukraine are born here. For almost 25 years of work, we have become masters of our craft.
• 2018 - ADEF-Ukraine Publishing House received the award of the National Program "PERSON OF THE YEAR" for its significant long-term contribution to the development of the publishing and printing industry of Ukraine.
• Today ADEF-Ukraine has hundreds of completed publishing projects that shape the positive image of our country in the world. We hold many presentations, lectures, meetings and excursions with various audiences to promote books and reading. You can buy interesting books, books as gifts, biographies/memoirs, books in foreign languages, and many other books directly from our publishing house.
