Book «My native land. An indexed album of postcards»
This edition is compiled and sponsored by Petro Korpaniuk, a descendant of several generations of famous masters of Hutsul woodcarving, the Shkribliaks and Korpaniuks, and a Volodymyr Hnatiuk Prize winner.
The album contains reproductions of postcards, mostly made from photographs of 1900-1939 depicting cities, towns, and villages, as well as landscapes and inhabitants of Hutsulshchyna, Pokuttia, Boikivshchyna and Opillia in Western Ukraine. Gathered during more than 25 years, it is considered to be the largest postcard collection in Europe.
Most of the postcards belong to the collector Petro Korpaniuk himself.
Also, Myroslav Blyzniuk, Oleksandr Kahlian, Oleksandr Polishchuk, Volodymyr Havrylenko, Ivan Vyshyvaniuk, Serhii Polehenkyi, Roman Bilyk and Oleh Hrechanyk have kindly offered postcards from their own collections for the album.
