Anatolii Heorhiiovych CHERKOV (15.05.1946 - 29.01.2024), a Kyivan, was a theatre critic, theatre teacher, actor and director, author of the concept of the theatre of constructive polyphonic improvisation, one of the leaders of the studio movement and the theatre avant-garde of the 1970s and 1990s. His active theatre work began in the 1980s. A. Cherkov creates a training course for the education of an actor - ‘Searching for the Way...’ (400 pages of notes).
He developed three game systems (models) of the ‘Theatre of Improvisation’ that complement each other: ‘Theatre of Constructive Polyphonic Improvisation’, “Dramatic Theatre of Free Actor's Existence”, “Theatre of Associative Sign Structures”. At different stages of A. Cherkov's creative career, his Studio was attended by people who are present in the contemporary artistic space. The book is intended for a wide range of theatregoers.
